Every new Fritser has a 1-month probation period in his/her contract. There is no need to worry, but we do take it serious. It is the time to find out if we really like each other as much as we thought during the interview process. It is a two way street!
Weekly sessions with your own Manager will be part of your probation period. During these sessions you will have an open discussion about your progress, or any challenges you might face. If the conclusion is that we are not going to continue with each other, this will be confirmed with a digital letter. But of course we do not assume that!ย
If you are through your probationary period we recommend you to continue your (bi)-weekly catch ups with your Manager.ย
At least one month before your contract is coming to end, your Manager will set up a formal contract discussion with you to discuss your contract extension with you. In most cases this will be a short and sweet conversation to tell we are very happy with you and would like to extend your contract.ย
This will be confirmed with a digital letter confirming your extension in case of a fixed term contract or a new employment contract in case of a permanent contract.ย
Although we would like to think all Fritsers work for their passion to make the mortgage world a better place, we do understand you also need money to pay your own mortgage! ๐
Generally speaking you will have the salary conversations most of the time once a year. December is the yearly time to get a salary increase which will be effective per 1 January. The increase consists most of the times of a percentage and your manager will schedule a meeting to inform you whether you get 1%, 3% or 5% raise, based on performance. Fritsers who started before 1 September of the last year will be eligible for a salary raise discussion in December. You can find more information here on our vision on rewarding and the process. ย
As you can read in the slides there is still a possibility to get a salary increase halfway through the year in June, but this is only in very exceptional cases. If this applies to you, your manager will also inform you the good news and then your new salary will be effective per 1 July.ย
Finally, we would like to say that salary is not a bad word, it is one of the reasons why you work for Frits, so please feel free to speak up when something is bothering you and reach out to your Manager.ย
For our Frits Advisors we have 4 different salary scales, you can find them here.ย
To find out how to grow to a higher scale, please read chapter 6.5 Frits Adviseurs Reis.ย ย
