Our office is a shared space - this means we are respectful (obviously) towards each other and the it office itself. It is every Fritsers’ responsibility to keep the office clean and ‘gezellig’. A good Fritser washes their own dishes, keeps things tidy and takes the bin out every now and then. Basically everything you would do at home 😊.
We would also like to ask you to be mindful of about the environment. Please turn the lights off when you are the last one to leave the office, don’t waste any any paper, food etc.
What to wear? Our policy is that you must wear something! What you wear is up to you. Use good judgement, wear what’s comfortable for you and expresses your unique style and personality. It’s OK to let the real you shine at Frits.

At Frits our office hours are ‘flexible’ - we trust all Fritsers to take their responsibility and take their work seriously. It is about the output of your work. The bottom line is that you are free to choose your own preferred schedule — as long as it doesn't hinder your productivity or the collaboration between you and your colleagues (e.g. daily meetings).
Our base principle is a 40-hour working week, equally divided over the five working days from Monday until Friday. We expect you to work 8 hours per day and you are flexible between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
Because some of us have tasks and roles which are more rostered - like our Backoffice Support team - a difference between the amount of flexibility may be visible. Our awesome Operations Team works more according to set times to ensure our customers will get the best possible service. If you need flexibility, please come talk to your manager to discuss the options.
When you define your working schedule, please take into account the Dutch Working hours’ act (‘arbeidstijdenwet’). The act states that a half hour break—not counted as part of your working hours—is mandatory when you work at least 5 1⁄2 hours a day. Take some time to enjoy your lunch and go for a walk around the block for some fresh air if the Dutch weather allows it.
Frits has a hybrid work model, meaning Fritsers split their time between the office and another location, usually their homes. We still value our face2face time in the office, but at the same time we believe it is important to offer our employees flexibility. Therefore we have the guidelines below:
Wednesday and Friday are a mandatory office day for all internal employees. As Frits, we believe this will strengthen the connection between colleagues and increase employee engagement.
Generally speaking, we aim for a 50/50 split for our Fritsers, however you are always welcome to work from the office more than the 50%
Teams will usually have their own 'team days' in the office to enjoy some quality face2face time
For our ZZP Advisors, we make an exception.
Any questions or doubts you may have regarding the guidelines, you can discuss directly with your manager.

You probably won’t have a standing desk at home, but try get yourself a good home office set up. We don’t want you to come back to the office with back injuries. We’re happy to help where we can and provide all the equipment you need (cables, headsets).
Make sure you have an ergonomic workplace as best you can:
1. Try to match chair and table height in such a way that your arms assume a relaxed position (relaxed shoulders). This is best done with your elbows at or slightly above table height.
2. Occasional standing work alternates between sitting for long periods of time. Perhaps you can create a standing workplace by making a (temporary) desk at elbow height. Sitting can of course also be alternated with standing or walking.
3. Try to adjust the chair so that your feet are supported by the floor or a footstool (or, for example, a pack of printer paper). Knees should be about the same height as your hips.

To work safely and comfortably from home, you can use the same basic equipment as in the office, such as an office chair, desk or table, keyboard, and mouse.
These items remain the property of Frits Hypotheken at all times. You will receive the equipment that is available at that moment. It is not possible to make a personal selection.
Last but not least, working remotely could also mean working from another location than your own home. Frits is very supportive of you going on your own little workation up to a month, please do discuss this with your manager in advance. It goes without saying, you do need a stable internet connection and a descent work set-up.

We want to ensure no one experiences harassment, intimidation or any other inappropriate conduct at Frits. Use your common sense to make sure that none of your actions are perceived as negative and remembers that it's not just the intention of the remarks or actions that determine whether harassment has taken place - it can also be the impression it makes.
Bear in mind that people vary in their sensitivity, especially when you consider all the different places and backgrounds that your colleagues will be coming from in the future; all over the world. If you learn of - or are subjected to - harassment, report it to the 'vertrouwenspersoon' or your manager. We will always treat complaints seriously and with sensitivity. If there is a situation you would like to discuss confidentially, please mention this to Dominique as she will be handling your situation completely confidential as our internal 'vertrouwenspersoon'.
If you receive equipment which you are permitted to take home, it is your responsibility to take good care of it. Please treat it like it is your own. As long as you don't leave it unattended outside the office, you'll avoid the risk of liable costs resulting from the loss of equipment. When your employment agreement ends, please return all items that belong to Frits. All assets handed out to you will be registered in BambooHR.

We are an informal and approachable organization. We also want to reflect this in the way we present ourselves to clients and colleagues. Therefore, we apply a smart casual dress code for advisors: well-groomed and professional, without requiring formal clothing.
Guidelines:
General: clothing must be clean, neat, and well-presented.
Top wear: since we frequently use video calls, top wear is especially important. A shirt or blouse with a collar is allowed, but not required. A neat sweater, polo shirt, or t-shirt is also appropriate, as long as it looks presentable.
Avoid: sportswear, beachwear, clothing with large logos or texts, and outfits that look too casual or untidy.
